Mysolution: Cutting the Cans
As Mysolution grew, so did its cans. Over a decade, the recruitment software company has expanded from around 40 people to more than 200, spread across two buildings near Utrecht. Every new hire meant more soda in the fridge, more deliveries, more packaging to deal with. At its peak the company was getting through around 500 cans a week.
As Mysolution’s space expanded, office and event management team lead Krista van Rijt decided it was time to make a change: that’s when she installed a REFILL+ Series 2.
But it wasn’t the office expansion itself that drove it. “It was that we had cans of soda in the fridge, which is bad for the environment and a lot of work for us, the restocking, the buying, the recycling of it all.
“I wanted to do something more environmentally friendly,” says Krista, who found swapping stacks of single-use cans for a hydration system took a real chunk of packaging, deliveries and waste out of her team’s weekly routine. “Not necessarily my time,” she says, “but my team’s time.
“All the transporting of the cans back and forth.” It was a recurring, invisible load that grew with every hire.
The REFILL+ Series 2 has helped Krista curb that, with compounding benefits.
“It’s cost-effective, it tastes great, it’s healthier, it’s better for the environment, and it’s less work. It’s all of those things combined.” Krista notices the shift in her own habits too. “I’m a big water drinker myself, and I think I’ve doubled my intake,” she says. “It’s just plain water, you get sick of that after a while, so this really, really helps.”
With functional flavors and zero-sugar, the healthy option became the easy one, Krista notes “there isn’t a day that goes by that there isn’t someone who says, ‘I like this so much.”
